You’re never too old to replace your smile when teeth are missing. At Oaktree Dentistry in Lodi and Elk Grove, we offer the full range of options to meet your needs and goals:

This blog explores the options to help you make an informed decision for your smile.

Tooth Replacement at Any Age

People lose teeth for various reasons, including injuries, as part of aging, inadequate dental care, or neglect. No matter the reasons, the team at Oak Tree Dentistry holds no judgment. Our only goal is to restore your smile, confidence, and oral health.

A consultation with the dentist helps determine the best option for you. Your oral health, jawbone density, budget, and lifestyle are considered.

Remember, tooth replacement is about more than aesthetics and function. A complete smile contributes to oral health, speech, and proper digestion!

Tooth Replacement Options for You

Dental Implants in Lodi and Elk Grove

Dental implants can be single, implant-supported, or All-on-4®. Single implants mean one tooth root replacement capped with a custom dental crown. Implant-supported dentures and bridges rely on one to six implants for stability. All-on-4 means your dentist can secure an arch of new teeth using only four dental implants.

Typically, dental implants have a higher initial cost than other options, but this may level out over time because implants can last for decades or even a lifetime. There are no relines or products to purchase.

Dental Bridges Close the Gap

Traditional dental bridges usually have one or two replacement teeth connected to healthy teeth via attached tooth crowns. If the supporting teeth are not strong enough to support the dental bridge, the dentist may use a dental implant to anchor it instead.

The dental bridge usually costs between dentures and dental implants. Like dental implants, it is a fixed and stable option, but unlike implants, it does not support jawbone health.

Dentures and Partials

Removable dentures and partials have existed for centuries, but today’s prosthetics are natural-looking and offer superior function compared to older types. Modern dentures consider the material, fit, function, and aesthetics for patients. Dentures take over when all teeth are lost, and partials stand in for sporadic loss.

Dentures are likely the most inexpensive tooth replacement option. However, they require relines, upgrades, and sometimes adhesives to stay put on the gums. They also don’t support jawbone health and integrity.

Payment Options and Dental Specials in Elk Grove and Lodi

We run periodic specials, so we encourage our patients to check out our specials page here. Our dentist also accepts third-party financing through CareCredit and LendingClub. Additionally, we take a wide range of dental insurance plans.

For patients without dental coverage, talk to us about our in-office savings plans. For a low annual fee, you can see the dentist twice yearly (as recommended by the American Dental Association), book an emergency dental visit, and enjoy up to 25 percent off additional dental procedures. Ask a dental team member for limits and exclusions; we are always here if you have questions.
